The name of the Society is Vernon Association for Skateboard Enthusiasts, the purposes of the Society are: 

 To promote excellence and professionalism to the sport of skateboarding in Vernon, British Columbia and the Central Okanagan.

 To improve the status of Skateboarding in Vernon, British Columbia by encouraging skateboarding, increasing the quality of skateboarding in Vernon and raising funds to build better parks and resources.  

To encourage greater recognition of skateboarding in Vernon and promote local skateboarder's achievements regionally and nationally.
 

To provide information on the history and the continuation of skateboarding to the people of British Columbia. 

To work cooperatively with other provincial and federal agencies and organizations concerned with skateboarding and the future of the sport.
 

To encourage and support young emerging skateboarders in British Columbia.
